To the one who cares for someone at home

Maybe it's your mum, your partner or your child. You know the medicines by heart, the doctors by name and every creak of the stairs at night. You stepped back from work because someone needed you more. You would do it again.

But you need something for yourself too: a little income, a reason to talk to people about something else, an hour that belongs only to you. Work that fits around care does exist – a few hours, close to home, when it suits you. And on the days you need to breathe, someone nearby can do the shopping, walk the dog or keep your loved one company for an afternoon.

Caring is a skill. So is asking for help. On SkillNav you can do both: offer what you can, and find a hand when you need one.
