To the one looking for a first job

Ask your parents about their first job. Watch them smile: picking hops or strawberries, a festival stall, a summer in a warehouse, the boss who shouted and the one who taught them everything. Everyone remembers their first job. Yours is out there too.

The catch is that everyone wants experience, and you only get experience from a job. So start small and close to home: helping someone move, walking a dog, setting up a phone for someone's grandma, tutoring a younger student. On SkillNav nobody asks for a CV, being new never counts against you, and every finished job leaves a rating that makes the next one easier.

One day someone will ask you about your first job, and you'll smile too. Have a skill, or just willing hands? Start here. Need a hand? Give someone their first chance.
