Frequently asked questions
What if I do not know how to describe the job?
Write it your own way, even in one sentence. The assistant turns it into a clear post and asks about anything that is missing.
Can I choose who comes?
Yes, you decide. You can let the assistant invite suitable people, or compare profiles and ratings yourself.
How do I know a person is trustworthy?
Look at ratings from others and whether the profile is verified. No system can guarantee everything goes smoothly, so use the chat and agree everything important up front.
How do I stay safe when someone comes to my home?
Check the person's ratings and verified mark, agree everything in the chat and, for a first meeting, have someone else at home if you can. Do not share bank details or document copies in the chat, and never pay in advance to people you do not know. In an emergency call 112. Report anyone who behaves badly.
How much will it cost?
You agree the price with the person doing the job. The assistant shows what similar jobs nearby pay and negotiates within your private limit, but the final decision is yours. Payment is directly between you; SkillNav does not process it.
What is my private limit?
The most you are willing to pay. Only you see it. The assistant never agrees a price above it, and you still approve every deal.
Who is responsible if something goes wrong?
Users deal with each other at their own risk and SkillNav does not guarantee the quality of jobs (see the Terms of Use). If there is a problem you can report and block a user. Agree important things beforehand.
Can I post a job for a parent or grandparent?
Yes, you can post for someone close to you. Say in the post where and when the job is, and let that person know who is coming.
Does it work for expats and non-Czech speakers?
Yes. The app is available in Czech, Slovak, English, German, Ukrainian, Russian and Vietnamese, and this website in Czech, English, Ukrainian, Russian and Vietnamese. What matters is that you can agree the job with the other person.
